Investorlando Realty can help you apply for your new home loan .

When purchasing a home, applying for a loan is very troublesome for a lot of people, but it doesn't have to be. Having connections with some lending companies in the Orlando area has helped me understand a few things that will make the process of applying for a loan very easy.

1 – Organize a list of questions regarding your loan program

Be sure to have a list of questions if you find that you don't entirely understand the advantages and disadvantages of the different programs. It's hard to understand the differences between both fixed and adjustable rate mortgages. I or one of my lenders can assist you with understanding the advantages and disadvantages of each one.

2 – Decide when you want to lock

When you lock in the interest rate, the lender is sure to commit to the mortgage interest rates for the loan – generally at the time the loan application is received. By floating the rate, you can lock the rate anytime between the day of your loan application and issuance of closing documents. Buyers who decide to float presume interest rates will drop in the near future. Click here to see the outlook for the next 90 days of interest rates.

3 – Determine if you want to pay additional points to decrease your rate

If you opt to pay additional points to lower the rate of your loan, you will pay for them in cash at closing. Every point is 1 percent of the mortgage loan. To determine if you should purchase points, click here to use our points calculator.

4 – Bring your paperwork

Getting a mortgage loan requires a lot of paperwork, so you should spend some time getting your documents together. Click here to see typical information that goes on a loan application.
